Effects shoot for Arad finished

We had an Effects shoot for Arad yesterday and I'm putting some of the images here. It was a great opportunity to play with some real elements. Last year when we started the project, I had imagined all effects will be CG but now we are using so many real effects. Hopefully nobody will find out which ones are CG and which ones real in the end.

Our VFX team reaches 62 people scattered in more than 18 countries

Our VFX team has reached 62 people who are located in more than 18 countries. There is no continent that is not represented except south pole!
The team includes a 2 time Emmy Award winner, an artist with published work on Expose, and many other award winning artists.
I didn't expect us to be this successful in recruiting. I have to put the names of the great people who are helping us on website but post-production is so busy and behind schedule that I don't have time to do that.
It is a tiny community for VFX and I will be working with these people in future in different aspects. It is a small world...
Thanks everybody for your great support and enthusiasm in our project.

Arad pickup shoot went very well

Hello,

Arad pickup shoot went very well. We were able to shoot all we had planned for on Sunday Jan 17th. There were around 50 people involved with the shoot. We had received a lot of submissions from different people who were interested in joining us as crew members but we were not able to have them all in the shoot since the positions filled up pretty quickly. The major change to principal photography was the change of AD. This time we had Li Lu as AD and I enjoyed working with her. We also re-cast the Beggar actor. This time Tom Colvin played our Beggar role. We had a new fight choreographer who was great: Ed Douglas.

Cheers,

Sepehr

Pick up shoot

We're going to have a pickup shoot for some gaps in the film in January.

I'm not sure how many people we might need for set but ideally we need some production assistants who can also act as city citizens in the film when needed.

People with Middle Eastern look are prefered but last time we had all sorts of races. Also our great makeup artists will help a lot to make everybody look middle eastern.

Cheers,

Sepehr
